GetMyJob privacy information
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information may be processed when you use GetMyJob, including the resume builder, career roadmaps, contact links, analytics, cookies, and advertising services.
Effective date: June 6, 2026
Information you provide
If you contact GetMyJob by email, the information you place in that email is processed by your email provider and received in the GetMyJob mailbox. Do not send passwords, one-time passwords, bank details, Aadhaar numbers, payment-card information, or complete identity documents.
The Resume Builder and Career Roadmaps tools run in your browser. Resume entries and roadmap progress are stored in your browser only when the tool says it is saving on your device. GetMyJob does not intentionally transmit that tool data to an external AI provider.
Automatically processed technical information
Like most websites, the hosting server and security services may process technical records such as an IP address, browser type, device type, requested URL, date and time, referrer, and error or security events. These records help deliver pages, prevent abuse, investigate failures, and maintain website security.
Browser storage and cookies
GetMyJob tools may use local browser storage to remember resume-builder data or roadmap checklist progress on the same device. You can remove that data through the tool’s Clear control or your browser settings.
WordPress, security, analytics, consent, or advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies when those services are enabled. Browser controls can be used to delete or restrict cookies, although some website functions may then work differently.
Google AdSense, advertising cookies, and third-party vendors
GetMyJob may display advertising through Google AdSense. Google is a third-party advertising vendor. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to GetMyJob or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve, limit, measure, and, where permitted, personalise ads based on visits to GetMyJob and other websites on the Internet. Advertising technologies may also process an IP address, browser or device information, ad interactions, and similar identifiers for reporting, security, fraud prevention, and ad delivery.
Non-personalised ads are not selected from a user’s advertising profile, but Google explains that they may still use cookies or similar technologies for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security, and fraud prevention.
DART Cookie and current Google advertising cookies
Older Google DoubleClick documentation and many privacy-policy templates refer to a DoubleClick advertising cookie as the DART Cookie. Google now describes its advertising technologies more broadly. AdSense advertising cookies may be associated with domains such as doubleclick.net or Google domains, and Google may use cookies such as advertising identifiers according to the user’s settings and applicable law.
In this policy, a reference to the DART Cookie means the Google or DoubleClick advertising-cookie technologies used to deliver and measure ads, including personalised advertising where the user has permitted it. The cookie does not give GetMyJob direct access to a user’s Google Account.
Advertising choices and opting out
Users can manage or turn off personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings or My Ad Center. Google also provides controls for ads on partner websites at Google’s partner ads settings.
Users may also visit AboutAds choices to review opt-out options offered by participating third-party advertising companies. Opting out of personalised advertising does not necessarily remove all advertising; users may still see contextual or non-personalised ads.
Consent and regional privacy choices
Where consent is required by applicable law, GetMyJob may show a consent message that allows users to review or change available advertising and cookie choices. Consent requirements and available controls can differ by country or region.
Google requires AdSense publishers serving users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland to use a Google-certified consent management platform where that requirement applies. Advertising and consent settings must be configured in addition to publishing this Privacy Policy.
Other advertising vendors
If additional third-party advertising vendors or ad networks are enabled, they may use cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy policies. Their names, privacy information, and available choices may be provided through the site’s consent message or added to this policy.
Information about Google’s data practices on partner websites is available in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses cookies.
External websites
Job posts and guidance pages link to employers, government departments, recruitment portals, and reference websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by those organisations. Review the destination’s policy before submitting personal information or an application.
